Moved from Texas to Chicago and had the unfortunate displeasure of renting an apartment managed by Fulton Grace. They lied about our unit having central air and we discovered upon moving in that our unit had no air conditioning whatsoever. Less than two months into living at our apartment, our kitchen flooded and our requests to have the damage fixed and inspected for possible mold growth as a result of the flooding were completely ignored. Maintenance requests went ignored and management tried to argue with us on whether or not we truly needed someone dispatched. The bathroom tub wouldn’t drain because of screws and nails that were thrown down the drain, which was a clear sign that the unit wasn’t properly managed nor maintained. We met Jonathan Perez with Fulton Grace Realty after we had already been searching for a rental for several weeks. At that point, we were having very little luck on our own.
